Regional Forum “Status improvement of the vulnerable group’s – good practices in data gathering” – Osijek, December 5th 2016.
Within project “Civil Society for Accountable Governance“ implemented by Centre for Peace, Nonviolence and Human Rights-Osijek, Informative Legal Centre, Serbian Democratic Forum and the Dutch partners – PAX and the Hague Academy for Local Governance, the Regional Forum “Status improvement of the vulnerable groups – good practices in data gathering” – was held in Osijek on December 5th 2016. The Forum has served for presentation of findings and recommendations of Final Analysis Monitoring the implementation of anti-discriminatory measures directed toward status improvement of vulnerable groups at local level: 8 studies.
The analysis consolidates reports of 22 civil society organizations in the area of the three counties:Osijek-Baranja, Brod-Posavina and Požega-Slavonia County, namely towns of Beli Manastir, Osijek, Slavonski Brod, Nova Gradiska, Pakrac and Lipik. The reports were focused to the monitoring of the measures of anti-discriminatory rights aimed at the improvement of the status of the six vulnerable groups (youth, women victims of family violence, persons with disabilities, minorities, children with disabilities and consumers).
In particular, local civil society organizations are, each in their own domain, monitored and prepared local reports on the implementation of the Measure "Youth Guarantee", then employment of people with disabilities in the city of Osijek, the implementation of article 22. Of the Constitutional law on the rights of national minorities, implementation of the programme of public works for the members of the Roma national minority, housing programme for the victims of family violence, the implementation of the program of a personal assistant for children with disabilities, the founding of the Council for the protection of the public services consumers at the local level, and to determine the type and scope of the stereotypes in relation to disabled people in the local community.
From the civil society organizations in Pakrac and Lipik, that are active in the project, the Regioalnom Forum was attended by the representatives of the Women's Club Pakrac, SCA "Prosvjeta" Subcommittee Western Slavonia, Serbian national minority Council of the town of Pakrac, and the County Council of the Serbian national minority in Požega-Slavonia County, represented by the current Vice-County prefect of Požega-Slavonia County, Mr. Miroslav Grozdanic.
The Regional Forum and the Final Analasys are the integral part of the project “Civil Society for Accountable Governance” financed by the European Union’s assistance funds within the programme IPA 2011 and co-finance by the Office for Associations of the Republic of Croatia.
